The Anecdotal Experience w/ Aaron McCarty
We headed back to Indiana to spend Christmas with Aaron's family and while we were out there, he was able to catch up with some of his high school buddies. One of 'em, Joey Burtoft, runs a podcast called the Anecdotal Experience and Aaron got a chance to share the story of how he ended up in Seattle. Joey lives in Cincinnati, OH and his podcast focuses on storytelling- each of his guests have personal stories they talk through while Joey asks questions. It's pretty fun to listen to, so if you've got an hour or so, have a listen :)
Merry Christmas!
Aaron preached last weekend at RVC for our mini-advent series at church last weekend. It's just a short 15 minute sermon, but a great reminder that Jesus came as a humble baby boy, to lead us as our Shepherd, to save us from our sins.
Merry Christmas, friends and family. May you be reminded of Jesus' love, grace and compassion. May we all follow suit with kindness.
“For thus says the Lord God: Behold, I, I myself will search for my sheep and will seek them out. As a shepherd seeks out his flock when he is among his sheep that have been scattered, so will I seek out my sheep, and I will rescue them from all places where they have been scattered on a day of clouds and thick darkness. And I will bring them out from the peoples and gather them from the countries, and will bring them into their own land. And I will feed them on the mountains of Israel, by the ravines, and in all the inhabited places of the country. I will feed them with good pasture, and on the mountain heights of Israel shall be their grazing land. There they shall lie down in good grazing land, and on rich pasture they shall feed on the mountains of Israel. I myself will be the shepherd of my sheep, and I myself will make them lie down, declares the Lord God. I will seek the lost, and I will bring back the strayed, and I will bind up the injured, and I will strengthen the weak, and the fat and the strong I will destroy. I will feed them in justice.”
Thank Yous and Credits
Our wedding week was incredible and it wouldn't have been possible without the help of our friends, family and some wonderful vendors. One of the joys of wedding planning was being able to hire many of our talented friends and acquaintances. We wanted to forever thank you all for your effort and love in making our dream day come true. Everything was perfect and we wish that we could re-live that whole weekend.

A Wedding Brunch
Our wonderful friends hosted a couples' brunch for us in late August. Megan made some cute message-in-a-bottle invitations and hand delivered them to us the week before. The morning of, she texted us the coordinates of where we were to meet. Boren Park. It had an awesome view of the water and we were under trees! We had a couple of runners in the background but it didn't deter from the brunch :) It was super sneaky and a really fun surprise. Aaron and I felt very loved and we are so thankful!
Thanks to Yee for taking photos of that morning!
